What is spam?

Automated spam filtering

Talemnology´s S.L. messaging systems automatically scan all incoming email and other messages, and filter-out messages that appear to be spam. 

Problems with spam filtering

No message filtering system is 100% accurate, and from time to time legitimate messages will be filtered-out by Talemnology´s S.L. systems. 

If you believe this has happened to a message you have sent, please advise the message recipient by another means.

You can reduce the risk of a message being caught by the spam filters by sending the message in plain text (i.e. no HTML), removing any attachments, and ensuring that your messages are scanned for malware before dispatch.

What means to be a member of DeMILI Beta?

DeMILI Beta allows professionals with interests in NAFLD and NASH to trying out the previous version of DeMILI in order to evaluate the performance of the biomarkers and the user´s platform, helping us improve our service.

How to become a Beta member?

You can join the DeMILI´s Beta program through our web platform. Note that sometimes do not have active programs available and not all members may participate in a particular program.

Join through our web platform:

  1. In DeMILI´s landing page click "Sign Up"
  2. In the Pop Up that will appear, check the second option > OK
  3. Fill in the form > Review and check the box “I accept the Beta Program conditions” > Submit

DICOM TRANSFER

DeMILI enables its Users a transfer of medical image files in the DICOM format (hereinafter called “transfer”).

The DICOM file must comply with the current NEMA-Standard.

To be uploaded the DICOM file must be compressed in .zip format.

Privacy options

DICOM-files usually contain personal data: Medical images can contain so called burned-in annotations with information such as a patient’s name. DeMILI cannot process or remove burned-in annotations. It is the User’s sole responsibility to fully remove burned-in annotations.

DICOM-files also contain DICOM-tags. They contain information that allows one to identify patients.

DeMILI allows Users to transfer DICOM-files after a De-Identification anonymization process.

In this De-Identification process the following DICOM-tags are overwritten:

  • (0010,0010) PatientName;
  • (0010,0020) PatientID;
  • (0010,0030) PatientsBirthDate;
  • (0010,0040) PatientsSex;
  • (0010,1030) PatientWeight;
  • (0008,0070) Manufacturer;
  • (0008,0080) Institution Name;
  • (0008,0090) ReferringPhysicianName;
  • (0008,1040) InstitutionDepartmentName;
  • (0008,1010) StationName;
  • (0008,1070) OperatorsName;
  • (0008,1090) ManufacturerModelName;
  • (0008,1030) StudyDescription

The User consent and agree under its responsibility this level of anonymization for transfer purposes.

The privacy option is only available for DICOM-files that comply with the current NEMA-Standard. Other file formats cannot be processed by DeMILI and will be transferred without modifications.

The User maintains sole responsibility for complying with all applicable data privacy regulations. The User must ensure that he is authorized to use DeMILI.

Delivery to DeMILI Net´s members

DeMILI sends notification mails to the selected DeMILI Net´s member after the upload of a file in order to grant the access to the DeMILI Net´s member to the de-identified file and enable its download for analysis purpose.

In case the DeMILI Net´s operator cannot analyze the file due to problems linked to the anonymization process of the DICOM file, it may require access to the file without anonymizing in order to develops the analysis. In such case the operator will justifiy in the diagnosis report comments box the reasons for the access request to the non-anonymized DICOM file. By the acceptance of this disclaimer the applicant authorize this procedure for the described exception.

DeMILI keeps the uploaded data stored on Talemnology´s servers in a format whereby they can be downloaded by the DeMILI Net´s member for a period of 10 days. At the end of this period the data is permanently deleted. DeMILI keeps the de-identified DICOM-file indefinitely for back-up purposes.
